Academics at Epiphany

For more than fifty years, Epiphany Cathedral Catholic School has provided a strong educational foundation for students in grades K – 8. Ensuring that students meet rigorous academic standards and benchmarks while having a variety of instructional practices and an integration of a variety of text materials and technology.  We are dedicated to continual progress and monitoring our students' achievements. Epiphany Cathedral Catholic School follows Diocese of Venice Department of Education Academic Standards. Our Diocesan standards are aligned to the Florida State standards.

Our faith-based comprehensive curriculum boasts instruction in Language Arts (Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Writing, and Vocabulary), Math, Science, Social Studies, Health, Visual and Fine Arts, Music Appreciation and Instrumental Performance, Foreign Language (Spanish), Technology and Media, and Physical Education. In addition to our premier education in these content areas, we offer programs for enrichment and remediation, academic competitions, and team sports activities and competitions. We also utilize a STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, Math) approach to project-based, collaborative learning and instruction.

Expectations for students’ academic achievement are routinely evaluated to challenge students to meet their potential for a life of purpose. When students graduate from ECCS, they demonstrate the behaviors and characteristics of life-long learners...articulate, caring, faith-filled, creative, self-disciplined, responsible, respectful, collaborative, innovative, critical thinkers, and problem-solvers.

Your child can begin their academic journey at the age of three in our preschool program through grade eight. We are confident in the preparation of our students. You can be as well.

We believe that parents/guardians are the first teachers of faith. Teachers join with parents in faith development and religious education. Technology

We provide quality Catholic education within a safe, supportive, and challenging learning environment. The integral use of technology accommodates this mission. Technology is not just taught… it is used to teach!

To support our students and teachers, innovation and technology are at the forefront here at Epiphany. With ClearTouch boards installed in every classroom, 1 to 1 technology for every student through Chrome Books and iPads, as well as a newly renovated STREAM Lab (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts. and Math) and Robotics, our curriculum is preparing students with skills necessary to communicate and advance in an ever-changing world.

The school has its own website to include general information, communication from administration and teachers, and  photos of activities and events. In addition to our general website, we use FACTS an online service, to post grades and progress reports for parental and student access.
