Ted, my supportive husband of over 30 years, and I are blessed with a son who attended Epiphany from pre-school through eighth grade.  He recently graduated from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.

As a woman who has taught for many years, I am proud and privileged to be a member of the faculty of Epiphany Cathedral School.

My experience ranges from teaching first through ninth grades in public and Catholic schools both in Florida and New York where I was born and raised.  I possess a Bachelor's degree in History, a Master's degree in Elementary Education and an Ed S in Exceptional Student Education.  Along with my Florida certification, which is renewable every five years, I am permanently certified to teach in the state of New York.  I am fortunate to be listed in Who's Who Among American Teachers and I was twice nominated for the Disney Teacher of the Year award.  In the beginning of my career, I managed a Supplemental Reading and Math program for St. John's University in New York.

It is my belief that every child has a right to learn in a safe, peaceful and comfortable environment.  Every child has God-given talents and abilities that need to be nurtured and developed. I endeavor to partner with parents as they educate their children.

Students have a right and responsibility to participate in their education.  They need to have ownership of the learning process by being prepared for class, by maintaining proper behavior that is appropriate for a classroom, by participating in class and by completing assignments and submitting them when they are due.

Working with students is a joy and a gift for which I give thanks to God.

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."  Proverbs 22:6
