Athletics
In addition to physical education class, which is part of the daily curriculum, Epiphany Cathedral School also offers a competitive athletic program for students in grades 5 - 8.
ECS is a member of the Florida Gulf Coast League, which consists of both parochial and private schools for the immediate area. Each school is required to follow all by-laws mandated by the league.
Competitive sports are coached by Coach John Jencks, ECS Athletic Director and / or Coach Troy Mackey and / or a team of volunteer coaches. All players and parents are given player guidelines and are asked to sign an agreement that ensures they will abide by these guidelines. This ensures player sportsmanship both on and off the field / court.
Transportation to most away games will be provided via the school bus, however home games require transportation to and from the athletic venue.
A $50 annual fee is required for each student wishing to participate in the athletic program. This defrays both travel and uniform costs.
